Via Mettupalayam, Gudalur and Sulthan Bathery — roughly 5 hours 15 minutes, longer than Munnar despite being roughly similar straight-line distance, due to the winding forest roads.
There’s no railway station within Wayanad itself; Kozhikode (Calicut) is the nearest major station, with onward road travel.
